Yesterday night, Oprah Winfrey was the talk of the town and her name, too, was trending on Twitter. A bit further check and we came across the speculations of her getting arrested for her alleged involvement in sex trafficking. It was also being said that her house in Boca Raton, Florida was raided due to this very reason. Shocking, isn’t it? However, Oprah Winfrey has broken her silence on this matter now. Taking to her Twitter, the actress has issued a clarification.
Hours after trending on social media, the television personality revealed that it was through a phone call that came to know about her name trending Twitter and being trolled. She scrapped the news by calling it ‘some awful fake thing and not true’. Further, Oprah denied claims of being raided or arrested and revealed that she is sanitizing and self-distancing from everyone in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, which has led to lockdowns in various countries. She also asked her followers to stay safe amid the crisis.
“Just got a phone call that my name is trending. And being trolled for some awful FAKE thing. It’s NOT TRUE. Haven’t been raided, or arrested. Just sanitizing and self distancing with the rest of the world. Stay safe everybody,” read Oprah Winfrey’s tweet.

As for the reports, it was being speculated that Oprah was among the host of several other celebrities, including Tom Hanks, who was accused of covering this matter with his coronavirus health update. Andy Lassner, who is a part of Ellen DeGeneres’ team, too, was accused.
